MONDAY BLUES>>>First, my apologies, I haven't been updating you in the past few days. (I'm not going to give reason) So what happened during the weekend? Well, plenty. L's Saturday was filled and is going to be for the rest of the first half of the year. She had to wake up bloody early for a Saturday morning and go all the way to Bishan for dance and song practice. This Saturday there was only song practice, apparently the man who walked with a limp wasn't free to teach perfectly able people to dance. So L arrived 3 minutes late, BUT, she wasn't the latest. She would never be the worst in anything (which is why she MUST spend more time on her Chinese) She really got the surprise of her life on Friday when she heard T(m) speak such good Mandrin. So, MJ (the singing instructor) distributed the songs. Notes with words. And guess what the songs were? Nevermind, I'll tell you. Dayung Sampan, Muneru vailiba and this "Germany song" Heidenroeslein. And guess what L's reaction was...yup...she rolled her eyes. So they sang sang and sang. There was this RI boy who L found immensly irritating. He was very proud of his musical knowledge and apparently his voice as well. So that being said, he sang the loudest of all, demanded that all of them sing in a pitch so high that it was agreed that he must be a castrato and corrected every single musical error MJ made. And that being told, you can imagine some of the things the girls gossiped about. Oh and he played Heidenroeslein on his trumpet during the break out in the corridor. L really pities his host family. They'll find him too helpful n(another word i can't think of which means volunteering information) for words. During the very frequent breaks which MJ took, L, T and this other girl talk about everything under the ceiling. Why I do not say everything under the sun is because it wasn't everything under the sun. Mostly they talked about music. The other girl was from Nanyang. There was this other girl from RGS too, but she was rather quiet, but after the rehearsal L found her not so bad. The most irritating dicovery of the day was that the Nanyang girl had finished her piano grade 8 when she was P6, and will be taking her LRSM this year. Talk about freak! (but abigail sin is worse) Whatever, she is a nice girl, so it doesn't matter so much. After the rehearsal this Jap. teacher offered them leftovers from a reception, leftovers! But its ok, they accepted. L has to show her nice side when the occassion called for it. She couldn't possibly say no and give the reason to be that it was leftovers could she? No. There was veg. roll, apple tart and tuna sandwich. Those that L tried were all very nice and the only thing she didn't try was the veg. roll. Vegetables, yuck.
yupyupyup, so after their free breakfast, they went their separate ways. L went to her aunts house (the one who lives in bishan) to earn some $$$. Cool, she gets a good free lunch $15 and 3 burned CDs for ironing clothes. How good could life be, especially when you have a wage cut? Not much better. Yup.
Then she went home, bathed, picked up her books and went for the worst piano lesson of the year. "Everytime I asked if you know this you nod your head. This is not called practice. Next week I don't want to hear any mistakes.""You don't know the notes! Pedal off!" blah blah blah. Oh well, heres the curious thing. However crappy this lesson was, L didn't feel rebelious towards MM(her teacher) heres one teacher she could work with. Had it been any of her previous teachers and L would have turned rebelious and not practiced just to spite her. yea, L has her nice side ;)
After her lesson, L hopped onto the MRT alighted at Tampines and proceeded to make her way to Temasek Poly. On the bus, she picked up a call that f***** up her day. They had moved to Bedok stadium. In case you are wondering, she was going for relay practice. So fuming, she hung up on crys. She arrived at B.S. in a taxi, still angry, but composed as ever. How else did you expect her to behave? So, she was pleasant to work with.
They did passing practice, L did some high jump, and home they went. Another interesting thing was that L met the tigress of the school as she was crossing the road. Suddenly, she appeared in front of her, they stared at each other until they walked past each other. How stupid. But, you can't blame her, as she wasn't her teacher, she had to spend some time thinking of her name before she could greet her. It was BN's English teacher. (I never say out names)
And that, was her Saturday morning and afternoon. She went for her martial arts class after watching the first half hour of a crappy miss singapore universe.
you know you love me
