Ok, people have been complaining that I haven't been writing. Wow, I didn't know you guys wait for my next words with such anticipation. That does wonders for my moral. Thanks (you know who you are ;))
Lots of stuff have been happening in my naturally exciting. Top of the list is - well I actually don't know if its SYF or Talentime. Both are equally important those in different ways. And guess what? Nah, I won't tell you; in case you say I'm bragging.
Syf: we're like soo super dead. Its now exactly 12 days away. Thats not even 2 weeks! The best thing is, we're still not ready. Costumes aren't ready, the background music sucks, people are always disappearing (myself included (i think)) and a ton of other crucial stuff aren't done. We'll just have to pull up our socks. This is gonna sound really dumb; but we'll all do our very best for the school, for the club and for ourselves. At the end of the day, even if we get a COP, we'll know that that was the best that we have done and no other thing we could have done would have brought us better results.
Talentime: Its now officially known as "Adrenalize" (thought of by t(m)). Alot (well a few) of us had our reservations, but naturally, guess who always has the last say? No prizes. This is another event that may be going to be a flop. Everything is like so super rushed and everything is behind schedule. Tomorrow is the big day. I do hope it happens to turn out ok. Ticket sales were, I'd say, a disaster. Everyone came rushing down to queue way before the tickets even arrived at the venue of sales, namely the canteen. They'd all learnt their lesson from last year, when so many people didn't get tickets. Not that it was any different this year. Actually this year was worse. Ticket distribution was totally unbalanced. At least last year we didn't have a whole class of people rushing down to queue and cutting queue. We'll make the best of it and pray for a success tomorrow.
Debate: I've no idea if I've talked about this. But we lost our previous debate with FG. The ironic thing is, we were the only debate going on. 2 other classes got into the semifinals without so much as a word out of their mouths because their opponants walked over. I think that is total nonsense. And now, because they don't have enough teams for the semifinals, we're their only choice because we were they only ones that actually debated. Thing is, we're not sure if we want the be subject to the torture of preparing for a debate again.
And here comes the most exciting piece of news.....(drumroll....)
I am proud to announce, that.......(drumroll.....).......I am allowed to take 10 subjects.
I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all those who have stood and rooted behind be, who have always supported me in my bid to take my 10 subjects. Namely: my family, Mr Tan, Mr So, Ms Tan and of course all my friends. Also not forgetting Mr Pek, who actually wrote my appeal even though he had an opposite opinion, many thanks to him. And to Mrs Cheng, who have spent much time being the middleperson between alot of people ( well I don't know exactly what she did, but it was alot). Thanks everyone. I will work hard so that you'll have no regrets. ;)

Wow, sorry to use the cliche, but TIME FLIES! School hols have come and gone. I've had my share of fun, and now it'll be back to work. Ha, this is what I say, and I really want to concentrate on work, but knowing me, I don't think I will. So people, you'll have to pester me.
Ok, enough about that. Let me tell you about my holidays.
Monday: I went to watch Lemony Snickets A Series of Unfortunate Events all my myself. Its quite nice to watch movies on your own sometimes. H claims that its a crappy movie, I don't think so. Based on past experiences and this recent experience, I've concluded that whatever H doesn't like I'll like, and vice versa; with very few exceptions.
Tuesday: EDS dance session-Home-A Maths
Those we had dance parts had to be in school at the unearthly holiday hour of 8.30 to learn their dances. PF brought his choreographer friend, S, to help us. S is amazingly short and stout, I'd even call him fat. Though I must say he can dance. And its quite amusing to watch someone like him dance. I thought the dances he choreographed us were quite interesting. Though I'm still not decided if he is gay.
I had to go back to school in the afternoon to collect A Maths CT and also for a super long lesson. Guess what? I passed! Yea right, crap!!! What am I going to do about my A Maths man? Well, I'll have to do something, only I don't know what yet. I won't bore you with details about the lesson. Suffice to say that it was VERY tedious.
Wedesday: Morning breakfast @ SP Mcs, EDS rehearsal. I was supposed to have a dental appointment in the afternoon, but somehow the dentist went for a holiday, so...Right, rehearsals were as always. So I shan't say anything. After EDS was the fun part. We went SP for lunch. Poor A had a horrible flu and was sniffing in suffering the whole time (hmm, how did that expression sound?). We then had a lenghty discussion about whether to follow our original plan and go to a gym or to go to east coast to cycle. We finally decided on east coast because E claimed that there were $1 rental. Since we were so smart, we made him promise that he would pay the extra if there were no $1 bikes. Being the confidant arse he was, he agreed. We took 2 cabs, gals and guys. We had to drop W off in school cause her mom was going to pick her up. Poor her. Well, of course there were no $1 bikes, but being the nice people we were, we paid half ($2) and E paid the rest. There were 5 of us (do the math), N couldn't cycle, so L was nice and stayed out with him. We cycled all the way to bedok jetty were we had a great learning experience about fishing. It was really cool. On the way there, T banged into a little boy. On the way back, Z fell (almost into the drain). After an hour, sun-charred us walked out of east coast and into PP. The guys went home while we girls shopped. Shows that girls are so much fitter than guys.
Thursday: We were supposed to go SP for breakfast again, but everyone was so beat only T turned up. Poor him had breakfast by himself. Then C went to keep him company when she decided she's had enough sleep. Me? I stayed home and watched half of Under the Tuscan Sun before rushing off for EDS. Its a really great movie. I finished it after I reached home. I found a new great actress: Lindsay Duncan. Go check her up. Well, the only different thing that happened @ EDS was that PF brought his friend J to watch ad comment on our 'stumble-through'. Though J is much better than P, as with S, I haven't decided if he is gay. But one thing is for sure: none of P's friends are tall, and all of them are fat; just like him. After EDS, we went to Marina Sq for lunch (long john's) and suntec for movie. The kids watched spongebox while C and I watched Hitch. Really funny movie.
Friday: Homework day. Well, I managed to squeeze a couple of movies in. The main one was 'The Forgotten". I thought it was rather thought provoking. I think I've already typed too much, so I'm not going to elaborate. Suffice to say it was a good movie and I managed to get some homework done (though I still have loads more).
Wish me luck

It is now 11th of March. The excitement of talent time has been overshadowed by interclass debates and those dreaded common tests and not forgetting eds.
I'll start with eds. SYF, so PF does the same thing. Comes in, goes through blocking, dismisses some peole, and then proceeds to waste the time of the others. But at least we're making some headway now. Its like he has finally realised how little time we have left and is trying to get everyone to learn their lines and remember blocking in split seconds. Oh well, I won't elaborate too much. And by the way I still think he is gay. As a common test destressor, this is what I've been doing:
http://sg.geocities.com/cchmseds/Home.html do have a look and sign the guest book.
Now common tests. These are the most dreaded things, even worse than exams. The weeks before are all filled with activities (ccas, competitions, remedial and whatnots), whatever time you have left, you use to finish the mountain of homework that is increasing its height at unbelievable rates. Its wonderful how teachers except you to finish the homework they dump on you and study at the same time. So, I've always told myself I'd start preparing 2 weeks before. But guess what? No prizes. I studied for everything subject the night before. Thank God I'm a fast reader and studier, or I'll end up like some people (sleeping @ 4am). Even then, its a super fast lightning train I was on. And although it was an exciting ride, I'm glad its stopped for refuelling. And while the train refuelles, passengers can come out and take a stretch.
And last but not least, the thing that was in possession of my attention was interclass debate. The first one against BN (that animal testing is too cruel), we won. Today's debate, against JT (single sex schools are becoming obsolete) we lost. In both cases, we were opposition. The truth is, I thought that BN did a better job than us that day and that we did a better job than JT today. Oh well, its a lopsided world. Oh, by the way I got best speaker.
Ok, thats a summary. But debates though much much fun, are horrible horrible things to prepare for. You have to do research, which is easy enough, and then you have to collate and organize the research, thats the tedious part. This takes like forever. And then you have to find time for the team to discuss, and then write the script. And most importantly find someone to print it. In a world where everyone's printer was either not functional or had no ink, this was no mean feat. Finally comes the debate itself, when everyone is super uptight, and pessimistic. And then the results turn out to be the opposite of what you expect. Oh well. We'll probably get into the semis, cause they don't have enough classes. Hopefully we'd be able to redeem ourselves, but it doesn't really matter if we don't. Our main energies won't be focussed there.
And after all these serious stuff, I've an announcement to make: ITS THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!!
Bliss for a week. I'm off to enjoy it!
