I just finished blasting phantom of the opera on the piano. I love that musical! Its a beautiful piece of work. Got the score from fred. :D:D:D
I've been reading the blogs of my new classmates. They blog so often and their blogs are so detailed that I feel embarressed about my measly blog. So, I shall make up for a bit of it now. Don't hope that I'll keep it up though, I won;t :p I used to feel the need to blog everyday, to relieve the overflowing train of thoughts in my mind. But time prohibits...so I've gotten used to it.
Many people have been asking me how I'm settling in VJ, if I miss AC. It seems that many second intakers elsewhere are pretty miserable in their new JCs and I'm one of the happy ones. I guess a large part of that is due to the fact that VJC has been my dreamm college since I was like P5 and that I've wonderful classmates ;) Thanks guys, for being so welcoming and helpful.
As for if I miss AC, of course I do. Its a wonderful place, and one of the main things I miss is the Christian environment; chapel & morning worship sessions. There're lots I miss about AC, but I love VJ already. I guess I can be both a Victorian and an ACSian (since according to K.C. even if you are only 1 day in ac, you are an acsian)
School has been good. The only bad thing so far is Maths!!! I have no idea what is going on, and I can only attend 45 minutes of the make up lectures for Math. But thank God I have a nice teacher. Mrs Koh is giving me one to one. Just had my first session today. Partial fractions and matrix have been quite alright...but I'll be bracing myself for the rest of the topics...
Talking about bad things, the worst thing is that we don't get to go Germany this June. We've been hearing the "discussions about the trip are going on" for so long, our hopes have been gotten soo high...then "BOOM", Herr S. told us on Friday for sure that we would not be going in June. The reason he gave was because they didn't know who would be getting the scholarship and who would not. We then asked him what if we paid for the trip ourselves, he didn't seem to comprehend. Herr S is a very nice guy, but sometimes he follows the book a little too closely. So we spent the weekend trying to churn out a feasible plan for a June Germany trip; and we did. We were pretty happy with ourselves. Then we realised that now our problem was if there were even affordable flights to Germany and parental consent. Went to talk to Frau Heng about it yesterday. haha, I really love that teacher, she's so cute. She told us that it was a good plan, but we might want to wait till Herr S had more talks with the high up people to see if we would be having a november trip. In the meantime, we could always carry it out as a private trip. Sure we could, but then the problem would be $$$ (if there was a november school trip). Now it seems like June would be too rushed, especially with the matter of air tickets and visa. So, we decided to see if Herr S had a wonderful plan for November. And we too plan our own trip for November, in case those people show off their power and pull out again. It'd be nice if we could have our own trip in June (more freedom) and a school trip in November, but then the problem would be $$$...sigh...oh well...Vielen Dank, Frau Heng. Sie haben uns viel geholfen.
And talking about school activities, I shall go on to CCAs. So far, I've joined Piano Ensemble and Medical Society. Both activities are on Thursdays, so thats good...only 1 day out of the 3 I have free (after German). Andreas and I have been to ho wei kang with our German Club proposal. Ha, he was so encouraging, telling us that we had virtually 0% chance. But we're still meeting him tomorrow to discuss it, there is the possibility to having it as an enrichment programme and they could give us a trail period.
I should go back to school work now. I think I've been enjoying the priviledges of being a second intaker long enough. I haven't been doing any work at all! Other than studying for that bio test which I just passed. Its time to step it up a bit. I want to, but now my problem is if I'm disciplined enough...God help me...I don't want my H3 opportunity to fly away cause of my slacking...time to DO TUTORIALS!!! Ok, I shall do it step by step. Right now, I shall aim to do 20 minutes of work at home every day. It doesn't seem alot? Its much better than the 0 minutes I'm doing now...
One last thing: Korean dinner on Saturday. We went for dinner at this Korean restaurant in Pasir Panjang last Saturday to celebrate our finishing Elementary 1 Korean.
I went to German Expo with Jung kai before that. Met the NJC people there + their wonderful frau S. eee :p Then met Cecilia and took the bus to the place. Since we had time, I insisted on walking through huba villa while listening to her african stories. haha. ooo, she got me a stick for my hair and a keychain. :D And since she wanted to study, we went to sit at this ulu bar behind the restaurant. I lost my ring!!!! Must have dropped off while I was in the toilet or something. So sad...the first ring my papa bought for me...bought it that very day too...it was $1.90...haiz...
The food was totally delicious! 정말마시다! We had lots of fun eating, learning about the food, and then playing games and singing! Imagine aunties playing games and singing (that was after 3 bottles of wine :p)

and probably the last holiday I can enjoy for at least 1.75 more years. From now till my A levels, I guess I'll be mugging away and being busy with school...haiz...oh well...it'll be fun! thats some consolation :p
I've been slacking away. Sitting in front of the tv, reading, sleeping late...heaven...
Then there was 2 days of German camp. Twas super fun! we went around bishan looking for umweltverschumtzung (pollution). Actually, we finished snapping on the 200m stretch from MOELC to the macs opp. And since H.S. had been going on and on about the Laermbelaestigung (sound pollution) in RJC, off to RJ we went.Yaqi's sis was super cute, very noisy and a little spoilt though :p She had fun with LF's hair when he was carrying her. That guy will make a great dad ;)
the daddy in the making
After that, the rest of the day was spent slacking away. When we reached back, Frau Anwar was already there. She made brownies for us! Haha, that was for the torte (cake) that she owed us for 2 years :p It was really delicious, and they had MnMs @ the bottom !
Frau Ostlund came, then we went downstairs to wait for Frau Heng. (that woman is always late...she was late the next morning too) Oh yes, we ordered pizza. haha, 4 Hawaiians from canadian pizza.
The teachers refused to eat our pizza and went of to J8 for dinner. When frau heng finally came, they summoned her to join them too. when we finally came, she brought with her a couple of bags of food. so nice ;)
the rest of the night was spent playing truth/dare, dai di, bridge, lying under the stars and chatting. stupid mosquis kept buzzing around and feasting on bare skin, so no one could zzz. damn them.
next day, some constructive work was done. we actually wrote articles on the umweltverschmutzung we found. go check it out at www.gh22006.blogspot.com
school starts again tmr...i guess i shd go revise some stuff tonight...haiz...oh well...wish me luck!
