I'm back!
The holidays are gone!
Exams have started!
Its unbelievable!
It seems like yesterday, when I was at the airport, rushing to the gate to catch the flight to Germany. The wildly anticipated day and time had finally arrived. It was to be the start of a trip that had taken much of my breaks in school and evenings at home to plan. The plan was about to be put into action.
And it all just went so fast. A week of touring, Berlin, Munich, Stuggart, Cologne, Dusseldorf, the week in Frankenberg with the Wassmuths (ich vermisse euch sehr!)...and then the train ride to Frankfurt, hanging about in the airport, walking out to take my last breath of german air...and whoosh, we take off and are on our way back to Singapore.
Back in Sg, the 2 weeks of drama, bbqs and mugging just zoomed past.
Drama sessions, g4c bbq, music bbq, mug mug mug...
Just a month ago, the exams seemed so far away.
Two weeks ago, it seemed like I had alot of time to study.
5 days ago, I was starting to burn the midnight oil, wondering why I ever thought that I had all the time in the world to study.
Even as I'm typing, I could be studying maths. Tomorrow, I'll be spending the whole afternoon at drama. In the evening, I'll be trying to cram everything in, wondering where all my time has flown too.
As you are reading this, time is slipping away. Are you sure you'd not rather be doing something else?
you know you love me
good luck to me for the exams
treasure your time
its slipping away by the second

The English Traveller
he walks in
in his black jacket and black pants
holding his square container of pasta
all he wanted was to heat it up
a request that was denied
they didn´t have a heater
i wonder what his story is
his eyes are deep with traces of life
not a tragic life
but not a sad one either
maybe he just decided to take a trip alone
or maybe his wife just died
maybe his kids are angry with him
maybe he doesn´t have anywhere else
touring the world at seventy
staying whereever´s cheapest
eating out of a plastic container
a plastic container of cold pasta
alone
you know you love me
