I saw Lim May Li! the freaky thing was, i was actually wondering if I would see her...I looked down, and there she was! ( i was sitting in the front row upstairs and looking down)
so, she boarded the bus, and i went down to say hi. hmmm...i think she looks better than b4. maybe because working conditions are better (or so she claims). or...maybe she's preparing for her wedding...muahaha...well...it was nice seeing her...after she finally quit after saying that she wanted to for so blardy long...
Just came back from bio spa. #*$#*($#($...shall go library and study now.

As the days go by, as events happen, my mind races, my thoughts flit in and out...
yeah...there're so many things to comment about...maybe i'll forget some while i type...we'll see how many i can cover.
I'm no KI student. So some stuff my sound like rubbish to KI ppl, still, I'll air my (maybe empty) opinion ;)
Someone asked me, is music detrimental to teenagers.
I was like, wth?! NO WAY! Music is the gift to the world. Its a way of release for pent up emotions. No matter how vulgar the song whatsoever. Its release for teenage angst.
Then I thought, what was the cause of most teenage angst? And I came to the conclusion of modern society.
With pressure to conform to society, to be in relationships, to have what everyone else has...would teenagers nowadays still be in the "crisis" they're in? Would they worry about if they were "cool" enough, if it was time they "broke out of their parents' clutches" etc.?
Probably not.
Anciet civilisation was such that kids took tradition for granted and never challenged authority and went with what was expected of them.
Modern emotions are a result of rebellous humans. But then again, the "rebellous humans" might be seen as those who recognise that each human has his rights and should not simply conform.
IMF: PAP has decided to let some of the representatives of some CGOs entre Sg. Its a move I applaud. Somehow, this IMF is changing my view of the PAP...what with MM's talks and what they've presented...no doubt there are still many things to sniff at...but...I've realised that its much better than I thought.
Exams...I was in the study mood today...and managed to complete bonding...its not much, but its a start. Good luck to me!
May Elizabeth Choy rest in peace.

Well Well Well, so I've uploaded my wonderful Fotos from Forbidden City on 911. Wonderful day, that, isn't it?
Sitting in the com lab, wasting my PW period away...trying not to think about how to stay alive for promos...the life of a J1.
The past few nights have been spent playing games and looking occassionally at http://www.chemguide.co.uk
Its really good...comparable to our notes, great to study from. But I MUST start really studying...I've got 45 chapters to complete...not including mugging vocab and grammar fuer Deutsch!
Good luck to me and everyone else!
Stupid Sg Gov is still adament about not allowing outdoor protests..."Want to protest go indoors", quote from Hossan Leong's talking cock in parliament song. (can be found on youtube. Amidst international criticism, Sg stands firm, refusing to admit that they might have gone a little overboard. This is rather "Chinian", isn't it? You hold your head high and refuse to change your decisions because you think it'll undermine your authority. Well, sorry PAP, the word is changing and you're not changing with it...you know what that means...remember Venice? No? Go get a SS textbook from MOE, its the last chapter...

Yay! Forbidden City is totally Singapore's best artistic achievement! My $72 was totally worth it, if not for the show alone, for photo opportunities with Sg Idols (jonathan, hady, jasmine), Kit Chan, Hossan Leong, and of course their autographs! :D
I was so looking forward to the evening...planned exactly what to eat (salmon sushi + wang wang milk drink :D)
yea, so after being hardworking for the whole afternoon, I started getting ready at 5.45. Was supposed to meet Ceci at 6.15pm. At 6.10, I started turning the house upside down trying to look for my ticket. I faintly remembered seeing it somewhere in one of my bags. Well...could've saved myself the trouble by calling my secretary to ask which bag I carried when we went to get the tickets in the first place (which is what I did in the end ;) )
So, we had a nice time going down to Raffles City, poking fun and policemen and dreaming up weird things to do. I had my delicious well planned meal and we made fun of even more people while waiting for Noel.
Finally, after he showed up and finished gushing about how hot some guys he met on the way were, we made our way to the esplanade.
There was a Chinese instrumental group playing in the concourse. We immediately sat down to listen. (Noel thought we had been joking when we said "lets listen to them"...) Man, its been so long since I've heard Chinese music. Brings my thoughts back to Chung Cheng where walking out of school, one could hear the tinkle of a yangqin, the strings of a pipa, the light notes of the dizi, or even the screeches of a souna.
After reminiscing enough, we went up to the roof garden to take pictures. Sg can be quite beautiful if one knows where to look.
Inside the theatre, we were in the last row of the ground floor. It was a good view and a nice change. I could actually see the intricate details of the costumes, the wonderful set design and the expressions of the actors...compared to the tiny dots of ants I saw 3 years ago.
Other than a few technical glitches where the microphones didn't work, some parts where dancers were a little off bet, and Kit Chan's screeching/shouting in one part where she was supposed to be singing (she managed to hit the note beautifully 3 years ago), it was really really really good. But probably I'm more critical this time, having been more exposed to music and theatre. And was noticing tiny details instead of enjoying the musical as a whole.
We saw the idols during intermission. This really loud gasp came out from me as I saw Jonathan walking past. Haha, he heard it and walked over. We shook hands and took pictures. We then waited for our senior (jasmine) to come out of the toilet to take pictures with her. Ha, in our excitement, we kinda forgot about Hady. So poor him was standing at the side, trying not to look too dejected. But we made up for it by looking for them to give Hady some attention after the whole thing :p
We then waited for about 15 minutes for Kit Chan to come out. She's really cool. While waiting we got the priviledge to talk to Wenfu. (He's doing arrangement for acsian theatre productions, so Ceci knows him) He's really nice...and through our short convo I got a little insight into the workings of the music behind productions. It was really cool.

Hols are over!!!!!!!
EOYs in 21 days!!!!!
And I haven't completed a single chapter!!!!!
What on earth have I been doing with my time?
Well, MOn-Wed were spent in German School Singapore, irritating all the Germies with our knowledge ;) Making their teachers compare them and us and saying how they must buck up. Irritating them by agreeing with the teachers that we stand up to greet the teachers in mainstream SG school. (they just sit down and shout out "guten morgen")
Lets, see...Thursday...can't remember what I did, just spent the day slacking and the nite watching Inventio. Stupid C, caused me so much trouble just to go see her muffled performance :p
Oh yes, I went to see Sg Dreaming on Thursday. Its really really good. A wonderful insight into the mindsets of SGreans. A must see for all deep thinkers ;)
Friday was spent in KFC with C trying to study. We were wondering why we didn't see Mr Lee there...and woah and behold...we saw him as we were leaving! Dear old lee er ker...
sigh...ich vermisse CCHMS! sehr!
And the weekend was slacked! Manage to do more studying at the void deck than in KFC though.
On Sunday I completed my shoe wardrobe. I now have my glam shoes, everyday going out shoes and casual flip flops :D
All the best to ME and everyone else for the promos...
