I bumped into mrs chan again!
haha, fred says i make her sound like some superstar.
well, its just that you're not supposed to bump into your principal two days in a row when you're out of school you see.
maybe today doesn't count, cause she was standing inside apparently looking out and waiting for someone...haha
anyway, so begins this discussion>>>
F:I guess she can recognise most ppl la, unless they call her aunty khah gek or something.
Me:You can do that one day. I'll be hiding in the bushes somewhere to record her reaction.
F:Wa, think what? Aprils fools ahr? Why on earth are we scheming to prank our beloved principal like that?
Me:We could get a kid to run up to her screaming aunty khah gek. because she's our beloved principal.its good tt we're scheming to prank her and not vadalise her house or something.its a sign of being beloved...does tt make sense....haha
F:True to a certain extent...
Okay, thats about the gist of it...of course not verbatim. i took the liberty of summarising it :p
if anyone decides to play the aunty kg prank after reading this, do let me know the outcome!
this old market at queensway has fantastic chicken rice. its on the 2nd floor.
had my first maths tuition session with ms tok the rj teacher at neptune court today. she's quite ecentric.

I decided not to go for the bbq afterall.
Came home at watched For Your Eyes Only instead.
Since I can't blog about the bbq...I shall supplement this morning's post.
So after I told mrs chan that I was going to MFA for an attachment and after she said very good, i stood there for a while feeling stupid...she made this dismissing gesture...but i stood there stupidly for a bit more...thats why she finally asked who else there was at the attachment...grrrr!!!
stupid...haha...
i think i'm becoming a bondie...

Yes yes, I'm supposed to be working, but I promise I won't slack after this.
Another thing that happened that isn't confidential or restricted :)
I bumped into Mrs Chan and her daughter while coming to work this morning.
She asked where I was going, I said attachment at mfa, she said, oh thats good, then asked who else was there, i said huiying. After that her cab came.
ahhh..see how miserable and dull my life has been...actually...its just my blog...life has still been quite interesting...
ah well...should have something else to report tonight after I go for courage bbq :D
fine! I'll get back to work!

Alright, I've finally collated enough things for me to talk about other than my mfa internship. Lets start with music bbq yesterday.
I think everyone had a pretty good time...though mr tan was a little under the weather and joash wouldn't be soothed by anyone other than mummy. haha. but still, he's a sweet handsome little boy.
Of course, the guys started the fire, cooked and everything while we the others sat around waiting to be served. I'd say we did our part by serving the beehoon and spagetti :p
After about an hour we made Mr Tan tell us the story about how he proposed. Of course, the J1s have heard it before, but its a really really nice story, and those are worth hearing a second time ;) with the exception of sinyee, who spent the 1 hr mr tan took to tell the story promoting HCI to 2 sec 4 girls.
yes, mr tan took 1 hr to tell the story...if i'm not wrong, the first time he told it, he only took about 20 minutes. that was during our sec 4 mugging camp. this time there was much more details of the prologue...haha. very very nice story, tiffany and i have also come to the conclusion that mr and mrs tan are really the most perfect couple one can expect to find.
throughout the night mr tan did most of the talking la. we asked him alot of questions..about his job...his views on certain issues etc. there was an interesting story about 2PS too ;)
got a fuzzy bouncy rubber ball thingie from parkway today. the kind that you can attach to your finger and just keep bouncing it up and down. heehee, fun!
tomorrow evening might either be watching happy feet with my fellow interns or casino royale with dd ceci.

First day of internship at MFA.
I have no idea what I can and cannot.
Heard so many interesting things which I suspect I can't say.
So I shall just say that it was a long albeit interesting day of protocal lectures.
2 more days of workshop and briefings before our attachments to the various directerates. Quite looking forward to that...though will probably feel a bit inferior at first? Really gotta read up...ahhhhh
wishlist:
Corrinne May's "The Gift"
Step Up sound track
Josh Groban's CDs
To watch: Casino Royale, Happy Feet, Just friends

GST hiked to 7%.
Reason? To help the poor.
Welfare state? Becoming one? Ministers need to study Social Studies Sec 4 "Health"?
The world will be engulfed by global warming.
Some people are still calling global warming "quatsch".
Even in the face the freak weather that the world has been getting.
Most recently in Australia.
The luxuries of life are so hard to give up.
Jane Goodall, 72. White hair and wrinkles. Travels the world to champion her cause.
If a 72 year old woman is doing so much, what are all the youngsters of the world doing?
We are capable of so much more.
But...the temptations of the luxuries...

Yay! Had class bbq at Fred's place today.
I brought satay and the pepero love sticks i bought from korea. it was pepero day on saturday, some kinda love day in korea.
This is the best bbq I've been to I must say. Girls sit down and be served by the guys. The guys were really impressive today. We all wondered what got into them. Since when are all of them so nice and gentlemenly?! WOW! Great job guys! ;)
Fred's mom made fantastic spaghetti and barley dessert. Thanks Mrs Yeo! :D
Plus everyone spun themselves crazy at the playground. Lina puked on mars while everyone except MOI tumbled off uranus. (question marks at the planets? i shan't clarify :p)
Had a jolly time sitting around and chitchatting after all the food.
Went orchard with dd ceci today. That dd gal didn't believe that far east shopping centre was actually far east. she had to call her mom to find out that far east plaza was actually what she was looking for.
sat at shilin for lunch then went to find her cousin who was working at far east PLAZA. I was wearing my super high 8cm new korean heels. And I almost died! After 2 hours, I succumbed to buying socks. After 4 hours, I had to buy slippers to change into. Grrr! I wonder how on earth ppl who wear super high heels the whole day survive!
Orchard was surprisingly empty today. There were hardly anyone around. Mainly JC students and a sprinkle of tourists. Considerint its the school holidays, it was totally uninhabited. It'd be considered empty for a school day, so let alone a school holiday. We were wondering where all the kids disappeared to. Maybe there was some disease going around, maybe theres some super nice tv programme that we didn't know about. It wasn't until we met jiayi and adora that we realised that they were probably all checking out vivocity. Not that its much to crow about. That ugly empty huge place.
The Devil Wears Prada is really a fantastic show. Everyone should watch it. If not for the beautiful clothes, for Meryl Streep's fabulous performance. She seriously stole the show. She should get her third oscar for that. She is really a wonderful actress. Watch any of her other movies and you'll see how versatile she is. And she does theatre too! Most people would probably hate her character Miranda Pristly. But actually, I think her character is a poor woman. Not a power hungry slave driver. Just someone who has given her life away to her work and doesn't know any way to bring in other elements. She's a teacher of the path and sacrifices one has to make to attain excellence of excellence.

Looong day today!
Got woken up at 8.30.
Went for breakfast, took a train to shenzhen.
only good thing about china compared to hk is their bookshops (shu chen).
Otherwise, other than being more spacious, they are totally lacking in everything else.
Came back, went for this oktoberfest thingie. Super super cool and fun. Yay! Got inspiration for next year's German Day :D
Shall dream of what to do tomorrow :D

3 years since US invade Iraq, 5 years after 911, millions of innocent lives taken, thousands of cases of violence and abuse of power, assasinations...
Saddam Hussein is finally sentenced to death.
He still firmly believes in what he does and his grounds for doing so. In this respect, he is admirable, and so is Adolf Hitler.
This is not to condone anything they've done, neither is this defending them. But if these madmen really believed what they did was the right thing to do, these hardened men, who are we to condemn them?
We condemn them because of the harm they've done to humanity, we condemn them for having no qualms about wiping out an entire population, we condemn them for their ideals. But who are we to say that they are bad men?
If they had not killed, if they had just championed their causes non-violently, would we think the same way? For all we know, we are the mad people and there are only a few sane people on earth.
Maybe, those in mental hospitals are really the sane ones. They think all the rest of the world is crazy. Who is qualified to say who is right or wrong? Who is to define what being sane is?
Haha, I don't take KI, but the above may be an inspiration for KI people's IRs?
Nach ein Jahr
Haben wir noch mal gesprochen
Magst du immer noch mich?
Ich weiss nicht ob ich dich immer noch moegt
Was werde ich sagen
Wenn dich ja antwortet?
Aber warum denke ich so
Ich weiss nicht ob dich mich immer noch moegt.
Gluecklicheweise verstehst du Deutsch nicht.
OP in less than 48 hours.
Wish me luck!

fine! so i was rambling in my last post :p
but its MY blog, so there :p
so i shall rant more in this post too :)
went back to cchms for their open house today. of course, sec sch open houses can never be compared to JC open houses, so i shan't even try.
suffice to say that unless a large group walks past, everyone was slacking away.
after racking my brains for things to talk about to mrs yeo, after walking like 2 or 3 rounds around the school, going up to see the heritage gallery for the first time, i finally went into lt1 to listen to the P's talk.
gosh...that guy is a total embarassment to the school. i bet those who heard his talk would've been so put off that cchms will be struck off their list.
i bet mrs yee was simply seething at his grammar and everyone else at his presentation skills.
he was trying to bring across the point that chung cheng students are eloquent and that there is a vibrant environment in the school. those all came out in words, and thats about it.he'd probably fail op if he ever has to take it. grr...can mrs chan give him some lessons on how to talk and sell a school?!
was chatting with aaron give airing our wonderful opinions about the fantastic talk throughout. grrr, that fellow is always studying...must drag him out for some gang outings soon.
oh, jon was there too, killed some time talking to him before going off for dance.
wish me luck for OP!

My aunt says I want to teach because of one nice principal.
Ha, maybe that one nice principal made me start gushing about teaching and planning my teaching career. But the impetus to teach probably came from elsewhere. I think I started seriously considering teaching as a career after realising that I actually enjoy making kids to work. muahaha. And seriously, education is quite a worthwhile area to go into.
I wanna teach german, but I dun wanna for the life of me take germanistics!
I wanna teach science, but I dun want another few years of my life to be spent mugging sciency stuff.
I wanna teach english, but I dun really wanna...
haha, heck, I don't even know if I really wanna teach or what I wanna do.
Medicine is still appealing, but as with the sciences...the years of mugging sucks.
I can't really imagine myself working my ass off to earn money for other people.
I wanna do something worthwhile. That means mindlessly earning $ either for other people or for myself is out. Maybe I'd like business as a sideline...but its not really meaningful.
So it still boils down to either Medicine or Education.
Ah well, but who knows, by this time next year I might be inspired to be a skydiver or something. Heck, I'll just see where life and God takes me.
Spent my morning watching a documentary on Italy and its people. They featured people chasing their dreams. To be a professional free-diver, to be the first female motor racing champion, to be a gondalier, to win the palio...etc...
Each of them knew what they wanted to do and set out to achieve it. I'd thought I'd wanted to be a doctor, but I'm beginning to see more options. Teaching has come into the picture. Maybe next year, something else will appear too.
Yes! We're organising a GERMAN DAY!!! Hopefully through this, the MOELC deutscheverein will be revived. Spent about an hour trashing out ideas and finally deciding on a plan. We couldn't find Herr S. So we went down to disturb Frau Heng instead. Haha, poor woman, always so busy. And of course, everytime we go and disturb her, she'll complain that we're disturbing her when she has so much work to do. But then, theres never a time when she doesn't have so much work to do, so then was as good a time as ever. Finally, we let her go back to her work and went up to continue waiting for H.S. to present out plan to him. Oh yes, the teachers went for some staff outing to next door...LOL...the mosque had some harmony cultural event thingie...we saw all the teachers trooping back...HAHAHA, was quite a sight! Well, H.S. finally appeared. Said we had a good plan, and we were to email our proposal to him, and then we'll work on it.
So back home, after having my dinner, I spent half an hour typing the £*£*(*(£(*$£ proposal out in English, before painstakingly spending 1.5 hrs translating it to german. GRRRR!
German Day had better be good!
