Ah, I've finally gotten down to writing. Hopefully, I'll have enough steam to last me to write everything I want to say.
Let me start by talking about Friday's assembly. Obviously it was going to be a full day off (it'd better be! for reasons afore mentioned). So why didn't I pon school?
One of the main reasons was because I wanted to see what was going to be said about the soccer 3rd/4th match of the day before. Another was because I wanted to hear what kind of prologue we'd have to the announcement of the full day off.
What was said for soccer made it quite worth going to school already la.
How often do you see TYH looking kinda abashed and thanking supporters for going down to support the match, saying the supporters made a difference and telling the whole school how he fell and we cheered for him while the saints laughed?
After that, while he was telling us about the matches to be played that day, it was really 'cute' the way he asked "Mr Chan, full day ahr?".
Anyway, it was a full day. This is preceeded by a promised 3-5 minutes (but ending up to be 15minutes) talk. He had 2 main points. I can't remember what his points were, all i remember was that he had 2 points which he talked at length about. Haha. And almost everyone zhaoed mass dance after that.
This brings me to remember how everyone (almost that is) came to school the day after soccer finals last year. We all knew we were going to get a full day off, but people came anyway. We came to hear the results announced, we came to hear Mrs Chan congratulate them and tell us to go out and show the world that we were the champions. We came because we were proud victorians. After the day off was announced, we stayed back for the mass dance.
That was a stark contrast to the situation this year.
I can just pray that things will improve as the years go on.
The basketball match was electrifying! It didn't begin on a very high note, but people started trickling in and we started cheering more.
[sigh, i'm losing steam already]
suffice to say that im super irritated with the redshirts who have no idea how to keep the mood up for a match. they have no sense of the correct time to cheer, no idea how long to sustain a cheer and no idea what to cheer!
and they're so obsessed with the control over the crowd that they neglect their real duty.
Anyway, we won the A div girls basketball championship and denied bishan jc their 10th final! That was a fantastic feeling man! (almost matching last year's soccer finals)
TYH doesn't seem to have gotten over our 'could have been' goal for soccer guys. Could kinda tell from the way he had that look of 'longing' in his eyes and how he shook one of his guys and asked "you saw how hard they fought or not?!".
Fight hard our girls did! It was a beautiful match to watch!
We lost soccer girls finals...SA won by 1 goal due to a stupid mistake on our part. That was really a waste. Another stickling thing is again the stupid redshirts and their while power complex. You should have seen the exchange between them and the soccer guys about starting cheers. Helloo, when people start cheering, you don't ask them to stop just so that you can lead. You especially don't ask people who know better what it feels like to be the one on the field to stop cheering!
Ee, i still have alot to say, but I'm getting bored and I wanna zzz...
so I shall just post some pics and go zzz....
you know you love me
