It is 6.30pm. The sky is greying. The leaves on the trees outside are making lous rustling noises. My windchime is singing. The air smells of impending rain. This is my favourite kind of weather. You feel the wind from all directions and theres a sweet scent of idon'tknowwhat in the air. It smells kind of like grass and flowers, though there ain't any flowers to smell. Its just lovely weather that smells curiously like the country side described in some enid blyton book.
I was watching a documentary on hurricane Katrina. There was a part where they were comparing the rescue efforts of Katrina and Rita (the hurricane that came 3 weeks later) and crowing over how they didn't screw up the 2nd time and how they were much more organised. But hellooo...of course the second time round was going to be perfect! It is an expectation for you to learn from your mistakes. Its not something that gets you a 'surpasses expectations' and have you people slathering praises all over you.
I think a good judge of how capable/good/efficient a person/an organisation is by how they respond to unfamiliar situations. That probably applies to most things.
I shall sit and enjoy the lovely smelling air.

~TAG REPLIES~[yinghui]yoohoo! yay!ppl actually read mi blog! hee;)
[debi] no lor,if u look back far enough u'll see some...haha[ceci] u crazy woman! WHEEE!!!mrs hard gay! WHOOO!!!
[rachelle] actually it wasn't that bad la, learnt alot, made alot of friends, picked some brains...yea..but just the organisation wasn't great :p[yunita] well well, they're over! didn't go too well tho :p to speak in your language, they were disasterous!Ha, this is the first time moi is writing tag replies. So you guys had better be grateful! :pAnd to the rest of you out there, if you want the honour of reading a reply in my post, leave a tag, and maybe you'll get lucky ;)Well anyway, the CTs are finally over! Heres a little overview.Bio: I must say one of the smoothest papers. Thanks so much bio dept! Or maybe its just the subject itself. I spent a week studying, cramming, trying to remember stuff, and didn't come out too badly. Sure it wasn't fantastic, I didn't study that hard enough, but I daresay it won't turn out terribly.GP: I think my essay was crap! Terrible essay grades these 2 years have made me apprehensive and unconfidant about writing. I avoid topics I've failed in and pick those I've either never tried or haven't done so badly in. I plan with past criticism in my head. Have I done this before? Was it wrong then? How on earth am I going to score?!?!?!? Is this point strong enough? How should I expand it? What if everything so totally lacks substance?Ah screw it. At least compre was better. Wasn't exactly easy, but it was doable. So...fingers crossed...Chem: hohoho...well, you can read all about the worst paper of my life in the previous post.Math: Hmmm, I kinda expected it to be harder, from all the rumours that've been flying around. It didn't turn out as bad as I thought it'd be, though it was still pretty screwed. I more or less knew what was going on, but hardly completed a full question. Most things were left hanging...so yea...fingers crossed for this too...Enough about work! Lets find something substantial to talk about!Lets talk about dengue fever! lol.Hey! Its no laughing matter! Its a current and urgent issue that needs to be quickly addressed. Ok, not that it hasn't been addressed, but it has to be addressed by everyone! Hundreds of cases are popping out everywhere like moles in a hill. 2007 has seen the highest number of cases of dengue fever. Why is this so!? Can we attribute this to global warming? That because of the irresponsible big brother and other ehems temperatures are getting higher and mosquitoes are having a time of their lives? Well, that is a likely cause. But recognising this, it calls for a more responsible people who recognise the threat and do something about it. Apparently according to checks done, a large number of houses are potential mosi breeding grounds. Helloo...imagine getting dengue fever, having to stay in bed for 2 weeks, at risk of dying, falling back on work, wasting 2 weeks of your life rotting away fighting some tiny parasites inside you. And all because you were complacent and thought that little water collecting areas in your home didn't matter...Ha, I'm saying so much, but have I myself taken any active measure to protect myself? eh...not really. But now that I've opened my big mouth, I suppose I will check my home. I've succeeded in psychoing myself.
Hey, this ain't bad. I can like try to psycho myself on an issue every now and then and make the world a better place! WHOOO!!!OKAAAY!!!you know you love me

WOOHOO!
I've just had the BEST chem paper ever!
its like the teachers sat down one day:
"lets make our job marking the papers a little easier. what we'll do is we'll throw in a whole bunch of h3 qns, find the most complex molecules there is, and at the same time, why not dig up some of our old uni qns? plus, i'm sure we'll have fun walking around looking at their agonised faces! wouldn't that be fun? yea lets!"
MY GOSH!!!
I've never seen such a paper in my life! Where on mars or venus let alone earth do you find such a paper??!?!
And that Mrs Choo Li Ming! Walking around and smiling happily (evily) to herself! SADIST!
MY GOSH!!!!!!

The sun is fading
Night is approaching
Leaves on the trees sway and rustle
In the breeze I assume to be there
I can only imagine the world outside
As I gaze at it from behind glass panels
In a cube of 27 degree celsius
Fingers tapping away
Feeling the luminiscence of the box in front of me
Lilting tunes wafting from 2 smaller boxes
I gaze out again
Little orange dots begin to bob out
Dusk has arrived
Okay, I obviously don't know what to write about. Lol.
Have just finished a delicous dinner. (I cooked :D)
Am going to start maths soon.
Exams on Monday.
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Its no longer so much what they can do to you,
but what you might do to yourself.
From you actions,
or lack thereof.
What harms might befall you,
or what benefits might you not reap?
The time is now,
to change your life.
For its only you,
who can till the land.
you know you love me
i suppose that means you don't like me like I likeyou?

HoHo! Since my writing is so popular and is so much in demand, I shall indulge some people and write something.
So, the last time I blogged was 5 days ago...lets see...these 5 days...
Alot of time spent with my dear dd friends. Alot of fun. Alot of crap. Alot of laughter. Alot of chatter. And guess what? Quite a good alot amount of work done too!
We're good eh ;)
And because I am quite lazy to write, I shall make a few slide shows and let the pictures to the talking.
I'll think of something to write about...
you know you love me
i still don't know if you like me...

I went into NUS for SMUN07 expecting to be stuck in 4 days of endless boring debates. Boy, I couldn't have been more wrong.
Given:
-our rooms were little cubes
-there was no air-con
-it was common toilets
-we had to walk pretty damn far to get to our rooms
-we had to travel to get to our conference rooms
-the food tasted like it was cooked by sec 1s
-the moderators knew next to nuts about what they were doing
-I did next to no research
-4 days of court shoes almost killed me
-there was hardly enough time to come out with a working paper let alone a resolution
-the rush for time meant that our resolution wasn't as detailed as we would have liked it to be
-our debates were 'paced' so that we didn't rush through and spent too much time on the resolution (which led to the above point)
But at the end of the day, it was a good experience.
The first day was really shitty. I could have cried from boredness.
But things picked up as the days went on.
The debates become more engaging, people opened up more and company became more exciting.
The rafflesians (aka bishan jc :p) didn't disappoint. Kaleni and Kartik were prepared to the max!
Bern was another pro that took my breath away from the first time she took the floor.
Second night was a fun night out.
Third night was a not so fun night out followed by a fun night in.
And tonight will be a night in mugging.
CTs in 2 weeks time. So screwed!
you know you love me
you've messed up my ind!!! ahhh!!!

YES! I'm online!!!
At NUS for SMUN (singapore model united nations)
i'm representing Russia in DISECT. (disarmament)
This place is damn sad!
super run down. BUt actually the rooms are quite nice.
I'm in a single room. Pretty pleasant actually.
But I saw the double room! WOohoo! Much better! Though theres only 1 fan for the space of people. ALbeit that, its looks like a pretty nice place to have loads of fun in with a super good friend.
If somehow I don't go overseas this does look like a viable option ;)
I had such a hard time trying to get online!
NUS network needs a network.
So now I'm on my last couple of minutes on my friend's com tapping into someone's network.
Moderators are super CMI!
France is super annoying!
But we can't zha bo cause will reflect badly on VJ>....sigh...
oh well
miss me people
oh yea, sigh, i can;t blog on tamadecute!
and i don't have time to elaborate!
haha, thx aunty for entertaining my in e day! lol.

Life
Is like the sunset.
Whereever yousee it,
It is beautiful.
Sometimes dark clouds blow over,
Frosty winds race through the air.
And it seems like
You'll never see the warm rays off the sun ever again.
But as sure as the earth is round,
The sun will rise in the morning.
The clouds will dissipate,
And the world will once again be bathed in the warm sunset.
writers block! couldn't come up with anything better...

ok, I am NOT going to blog about soccer anymore!
I do NOT have a thing for the soccer guys :p
I simply like to follow soccer, and you have to forgive me because the only soccer I watch is VJ soccer and Worldcup soccer :p So there! LOL.
The first week of the hols have gone just like that.
I must say its been a restful week, since I haven't been up before 10 on most days.
And its been an enriching week.
I studied a little, I got to see the world, I got to hang out with dd and I went for a concert :D
The strings concert was really good! They played tschaikovsky's symphony no. 5 and it was so good i thought they could form the VSO! (victoria symphonic orchestra) Thats coz I assumed that the woodwind and brass players were from VJband. But it turned out...they were from SYO...oh well. But it was really good, and the flautist was good looking too! :D
As I went through the week I had alot I wanted to blog about!
But nothings coming now. So I shall leave it as that.
PSC psychometric assessment test Monday morning.
Chillin session Monday afternoon.
Tuition Monday evening.
SMUN next week.
MPS session next week.
Playing session Saturday.
