It is 6.30pm. The sky is greying. The leaves on the trees outside are making lous rustling noises. My windchime is singing. The air smells of impending rain. This is my favourite kind of weather. You feel the wind from all directions and theres a sweet scent of idon'tknowwhat in the air. It smells kind of like grass and flowers, though there ain't any flowers to smell. Its just lovely weather that smells curiously like the country side described in some enid blyton book.
I was watching a documentary on hurricane Katrina. There was a part where they were comparing the rescue efforts of Katrina and Rita (the hurricane that came 3 weeks later) and crowing over how they didn't screw up the 2nd time and how they were much more organised. But hellooo...of course the second time round was going to be perfect! It is an expectation for you to learn from your mistakes. Its not something that gets you a 'surpasses expectations' and have you people slathering praises all over you.
I think a good judge of how capable/good/efficient a person/an organisation is by how they respond to unfamiliar situations. That probably applies to most things.
I shall sit and enjoy the lovely smelling air.
you know you love me
