I'm back from Copenhagen! Having been to so many other places, Copenhagen was still something new altogether. It felt very foreign. It was such a vast place, with enormous buildings, wide empty streets and a people who more or less busied themselves with their own activities. These added to the very strange and foreign language somehow gave me a rather russian feel. Oh not forgetting the biting cold too! Maybe it was because I knew German and the teeniest bit of French that I didn't feel this way in Zurich and Paris. And maybe it was because I've had a fair bit of exposure to Japanese culture through the media that I didn't feel like that in Nagoya (though Japan would probably be as foreign as it can get for most people). This time, I haven't had any prior exposure to Denmark at all. Perhaps danish pasteries is about as much of Denmark as I know.
Albeit the strangeness, it was still a very good trip (with my aunt who came down from germany too :) ).
I was kind of surprised that the danish spoke very good english. (that would be as compared to other europeans I've come across)
Best food there? Hotdogs from the many stands that dot the streets.
The evening I came back, I went all the way to the other end of Singapore to watch a soccer watch between Singapore and Vietnam. I reached there as the match started only to find that all tickets were sold out. So being the ingenious people we were (Cecilia, Eric and I), we climbed to the 10th storey of a nearby HDB flat and had a birdeye view of the whole game, though we had to stand the whole time. There were unfortunately many others with the same idea, so we had to share our perch with a bunch of smelly and noisy guys. It was eye opening to see the lenghts that people would go to watch the game. There were people atop of lorries and vans, up in trees etc. Quite a sight.
Skating!
I love my spiral. Hopefully one day, I'll be able to do it as well as Michelle Kwan :)
I think I've finally gotten my waltz jump right.
I'm quite comfortable with my half flip.
Managed to sort of do a salchow and a toe loop yesterday :)
Still have to work on my very inconsistent spins.
Skating is a great deal of fun, let me know when you wanna come with moi :)
Driving...
Test on the 10th
3 more lessons before that
fingers crossed... ...
Christmas!
many big plans still swimming in my head, waiting to be given some reality :)
Post exam plans! (for my friends and not me duh :p)

I've all the time in the world to zzz today, but I only slept for 9 hours! What happened to the good old days of easily sleeping for 12-13 hours at a go?!
I've been busy driving and skating since the last time I've blogged. There have been some bloggable things that I've observed, but I've since forgotten them.
In another month everyone will be back home. And all the wild fun will start :D
Speaking of in a month, it'll be Christmas in a month. I find what I've seen of this year's Christmas decoration very tacky. It's like candyland for christmas, a set for hasel and gretel or the grinch. Imagine a plain background (maybe green), and then putting all sorts of things you can find up there together. Stars and flowers, angels and pixies, in red and blue and purple and gold. You get the idea...

I've been to Zurich and back. It's lovely lovely lovely!
It's a city, but not too far from everywhere, you can see the snow-capped Alps in the distance. Reminds me of the day we were at Fuessen visiting Neuschwanstein :)
A beautiful land, a land of chocolates, a land of sky-high expenses!
Joash has a new baby brother! Elisha Tan Yong En, a beautiful new baby :) And the Tan's are the sweetest family ever!
Welcome to the world Elisha!
Happy Birthday Hilary!!! When are you going to spend your birthday back home again?!
Now, to concentrate on driving, and make sure I pass on the 10th of December!
I've had quite enough of you! Whats so great about you? What gives you the right to switch masks and upset people as and when you like? You are annoy and irritate me very very much.
