lcxy1: oh dear... alot of people have been called up for scholarship interviews, medicine interviews, and the medicine essay is tomorrow. i have not gotten a single reply.
lcxy2: aiya, but the interviews are still ongoing what. if you haven't been called, it doesn't mean that you won't be called.
lcxy1: maybe, but its already been so long. some people have already been called for their 2nd interview! and I only got 3As, how to get into medicine.
lcxy2: last year those with 3As also got the medicine interview. maybe they just changed the system this year. apparently interviews will still be going on till 21st.
lcxy1: pw got C leh...how to get into anywhere...SIA and CAAS all holding interviews already
lcxy2: well, you submitted your applications rather late what, it may just be in the queue for processing
lcxy1: aiya...but...but...die la...time running out already
lcxy2: in any case, if you really don't get anything, you've always had your numerous back up plans.
lcxy1: ya...all those backup plans seem okay while I was thinking them out, but now that they seem to close to reality, they aren't really that...viable? business...smu...even law...used to think I was okay with those things, but now it seems like I always wanted to and still want to do medicine? don't know la...
lcxy2: well, there's nothing you can do about it. you can only wait and hope and see. and pray.
lcxy1: sigh...oh well...
lcxy2: oi, excuse me woman, maintain a positive mindset!

Was watching Kim Yu Na's, Mao Asada's and Miki Ando's performances. Then went back to watch Michelle Kwan. Michelle is still far far ahead. She so should give 2010 Vancouvre a shot.

I was watching Michelle Kwan's commentary of today's figure skating; how Japan and Korea are dominating the world stage now instead of the USA. And my immediate thought was, well it's due to the asian mentality. When America was dominant, she, Michelle Kwan was their top skater. Though an American, she was still Chinese, brought up with asian values. Since she stopped skating in 2006, it's been Japan's Mao Asada and Korea's Kim Yu Na who's been giving the figure skating world something to watch. As for promising young americans, my money's on Caroline Zhang. See that? Zhang, another asian. There's something to be said about asian values that drives one to work towards success. That being said, one wonders where the Chinese are in this sport...Nothing has been heard of them since Chen Lu back in the early 1990s...
