In my mind, I have long flowy passages to write about my flight back into Singapore, and the VJC dinner.
about the feeling of arriving into singapore, the grand scene that greeted me, like it's signifying a brand new promising start etc etc etc.
about how it's heartwarming so see so many victorians back in school, how wonderful it is that the pioneer batches are so passionate about keeping the culture and all alive, but also how times have changed, generation gap blah blahblah
maybe soon..haha

I'm back from London! I had a wonderful time in England. 9 lovely days of being surrounded by the English accent and perfect gentlemen. London is so alive and the theatre there is amazing.
So many beautiful theatres with such history. I saw Oliver, starring Mr Rowan Atkinson, at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, where My Fair Lady, starring my darling Julie Andrews was performed all those years ago! Mr Atkinson was really nice, giving everyone who waited for him an autograph and was very obliging with photos.
When one thinks of England, the Thames comes to mind. In London, it is a dirty river with a lively south bank. But out in the country, its a beautiful stream of flowing water with lovely nature and landscape all around it.
Back from London, I've been spending the past few days hanging out with my friends and have had a very nice time :)
I wouldn't have been able to do this if I hadn't missed my flight. But I honestly didn't mean to, and I could never have made it for the flight and done a good job.
Speaking of flights, I met Mrs Soh on my flight back and had a very companionable 14 hours (2 hours delay because of a thunderstorm)
National Day is a month away. I was just listening to this year's national day song and was pleasantly surprised. This year's song 'What Do You See' by Electrico is actually nice!
All the old community songs had a very comradely vibe to them; following those, the national theme songs were very enjoyable; however, in the fast few years, the national day theme songs had boring melodies and lyrics and have been very 'huh?'. Hopefully this year's 'What Do You See' will lead the way back to the good songs. My favourite so far is still the very first national day theme song 'Home' by Kit Chan.
