I attended a talk by our law minister today.
It was very insightful, especially as to how to handle your evidence and witnesses.
How to approach what resources and information you have, to tackle it from different angles to achieve your goal.
How to cross-examine your witnesses in different ways to achieve your desired result.
How every piece of information, no matter how obscure or remote, could be instrumental in winning your case.
There was also a bonus of hearing Mr Shanmugam defend our ISA. I cannot cease to be impressed at how some people can seemingly take a question and answer it so completely and eloquently. (another weakness to add to my list) He phrased his reply in a very informative and effective manner, touching on a variety of points, and stringing them all together seamlessly.
That topic also relit my interest in the foreign service, to defend our country's interest to the ignorant world that loves to jump to conclusions.
